Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about DRISHTI, our deployment process, security certifications, and procurement through GeM.

01 What is DRISHTI?

DRISHTI is an AI-powered Police Command Suite developed by MMG Infotech. It is a comprehensive platform that integrates multiple modules to digitize and streamline police operations end-to-end.

The suite includes PRAGYA 2.0 (FIR/case management with BNSS 2023 compliance), NIVARAN (public grievance redressal), and Mahila Suraksha (women safety module). Together, these modules cover 397+ API endpoints, 88 database tables, and 58,000+ lines of production code.

DRISHTI also includes Digital Malkhana for evidence management with QR/barcode tracking, AI-powered analytics dashboards, and complete bilingual (Hindi + English) support for all 1,400+ UI labels.

02 Is DRISHTI cloud-based or on-premise?

100% on-premise. DRISHTI is deployed entirely on the client's own servers within their secure network. No data ever leaves the client's infrastructure.

This is a deliberate architectural decision for government and law enforcement clients where data sovereignty, security, and compliance with DPDPA 2023 are non-negotiable. The client has complete physical and logical control over all data at all times.

We do not use any third-party cloud services, external analytics, or telemetry. Even software updates are delivered as offline packages that are manually installed on-site.

03 What is the pricing model?

DRISHTI follows a per-police-station licensing model with flexible payment options:

Monthly License: Per police station per month, ideal for pilot programs and evaluations.

Yearly License: Per police station per year, with significant savings over monthly billing.

Enterprise License: District-wide or state-wide licensing for large-scale deployments.

All procurement for government clients is facilitated through the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal. Pricing is inclusive of deployment, training, and first-year support. GST (18%) is applicable as per government norms.

04 How long does deployment take?

A typical deployment takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the scale and network readiness. The process includes:

Week 1: Server setup, database configuration, and network assessment.

Week 2: Software installation, data migration (if applicable), and integration testing.

Week 3-4: On-site training for all officers in Hindi, user acceptance testing, and go-live support.

For single police station pilots, deployment can be completed in as little as 3-5 days. We provide a dedicated deployment engineer on-site throughout the process.

05 Do you support Hindi?

Yes, fully bilingual Hindi + English. Every single UI element, label, button, error message, and notification in DRISHTI is available in both Hindi and English.

The system includes 1,400+ translation keys with a one-click language switcher. Officers can switch between Hindi and English at any time without reloading the page. All training is also conducted in Hindi to ensure maximum adoption among ground-level officers.

Reports and documents can be generated in Hindi as well, which is critical for compliance with state government requirements in Hindi-speaking states.

06 Is the software BNSS 2023 compliant?

Yes, fully compliant. DRISHTI's PRAGYA 2.0 module has been built from the ground up for the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, which replaced the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), 1973.

All section references, form numbers, workflow timelines, and procedural requirements follow BNSS 2023 provisions. This includes proper FIR workflow (Path A and Path B), remand timelines, chargesheet preparation under new section numbers, and bail management as per the new code.

Every legal reference in the software has been verified against the official BNSS 2023 gazette notification and cross-referenced with legal experts.

07 What security certifications do you have?

MMG Infotech maintains rigorous security standards across all products:

VAPT Grade A (89%) — Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing conducted by certified third-party auditors.

AES-256 Encryption — All sensitive data encrypted at rest and in transit using military-grade encryption.

OWASP Top 10 Compliant — All applications tested and hardened against the OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities (scored 9.4/10 in internal audit).

CERT-In Aligned — Incident response procedures follow CERT-In directives (scored 9.4/10).

DPDPA 2023 Ready — Full compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

08 Can we try a demo?

Yes, absolutely. We offer a free on-site demonstration where our team visits your office with a fully configured DRISHTI setup and demonstrates the software using your actual use cases.

The demo covers all major modules — FIR management, Digital Malkhana, NIVARAN grievance system, analytics dashboards, and the administrative panel. We demonstrate in both Hindi and English.

To schedule a demo, call us at +91 97160 70908 or email info@mmginfotech.com. No commitment required — just proof that better software exists.

09 What is Digital Malkhana?

Digital Malkhana is MMG's evidence digitization and management module within DRISHTI. It replaces the traditional paper-based malkhana (evidence room) system with a fully digital solution.

Key features include:

QR/Barcode Tracking — Every piece of evidence is tagged with a unique QR code for instant identification and tracking.

Chain of Custody — Complete digital audit trail of every evidence handover, from seizure to court submission to disposal.

Photo Documentation — Capture and store evidence photographs with timestamps and GPS coordinates.

Court Integration — Track which evidence has been submitted to court, its current status, and return dates.

Disposal Management — Automated alerts for evidence eligible for disposal as per court orders.

10 Do you provide training?

Yes, comprehensive on-site training is included with every deployment. All training is conducted in Hindi to ensure maximum adoption among officers at every level.

Our training program covers:

Administrative Training — For SHOs, DSPs, and administrative staff on system configuration and user management.

Operator Training — For IO (Investigating Officers) and desk operators on daily operations — FIR filing, case updates, evidence logging.

Refresher Training — Available on request for new officers or when major updates are released.

We also provide printed quick-reference cards in Hindi for common workflows that officers can keep at their desks.

11 What about data backup?

DRISHTI includes a daily automated encrypted backup system that ensures zero data loss even in catastrophic failure scenarios.

Automated Daily Backups — Full database backups run automatically every night at a configurable time.

AES-256 Encrypted — All backup files are encrypted with the same military-grade encryption used for live data.

Retention Policy — Configurable retention (default: 30 daily + 12 monthly + 5 yearly backups).

Disaster Recovery — Documented procedures for complete system restoration. Tested recovery time: under 2 hours.

All backups remain on the client's infrastructure. No backup data is ever transmitted externally.
